2009 Preseason

The off season has been a long one, but we had a great finish to the 2008 season so we had alot to be happy about.  This off season has been quite intense in the last 4 months with the addition of our newest acquisition of the 33 truck of the Super Truck Racing Series based out of Alberta.  We stripped the Late Model down and refit a new body on it in January, then went to Wainright to pick up the 33 truck.  The team was very excited to tackle the new project.  Shortly after acquiring it we had it stripped down to the frame and started to build it back up.  With never really working with these trucks we had some snags along the way but just kept plugging away. 

After a long debate we decided on a color scheme.  We decided to have the car and the truck matching, with purple over the front and the roof and white across the back and the doors.  We sent both bodies off to Fabians Autobody to get painted.  In the mean time we finished all that we needed to on the truck and the car before remounting the bodies.  We have also done some nice additions to our pit mule for the upcoming season. 

We are happy to announce that we have LA Weight Loss Centers back on board as our title sponsor on the Late Model as well as sponsoring the Super Truck.  It will be called the 2009 LA Weight Loss Chevrolet Impala SS.  The Super Truck will be called the 2007 LA Weight Loss Chevrolet Silverado. We are also proud to announce that Saskatoon Motor Products are back with us on both as well. We are happy to have some new sponsors joining us this year Magic 98.3, Greenbryre Golf and Country Club, Chornoby Johnson barristers and solicitors.  As well as a long time sponsor that hasn't been on the car for a few years but is back is Bob Adam Remax Saskatoon.  Returning to Thunderbolt Racing from last year is LS Technologies, Propane Plus Automotive, Fabians Autobody, Novatex Graphics, Galon Insurance, Praxair, The Bolt Supply House and Prairie Pawnbrokers. 

We are really looking forward to the upcoming season and can't wait for it to start.
